Following his appearance at 51beats ten years ago with the beautiful split-album “Illusion” jointly with Sonambient, J. Sintax delivers here a set of “dancy” tracks reflecting his dancefloor-oriented attitude. Being now permanently based in Berlin, “Never Ending Drama” is a collection that dives into J.Sintax’s recent past experiments flowing from straight-to-the-floor to more meditative melodies, … and back.

The opening track “Cosmos is on drugs!” ironically recalls the Federico’s civil service period in Turin, when of course he could not be on drugs. “Dramma” switches us to the deepest side of the work, which introduces the fantastic synth-based flow characterizing “Circle of Family” that closed the A-side. Turning the plate to the B-side, J.Sintax comes back operative with the hammering “Rough Meeting” a definitive guitar pedal overdrived wall of sounds interwinding your legs to keep you there. Minimal sounds reminding the first Villalobos characterize “PEEL”, an easy-moving repetitive-beats path shaped up featuring Dj Jaci. “Rollcoaster” transforms us into churchgoers with its grandiose opening to capitulate through neurotic 8bit-ish melodies.

Available both in digital and as vinyl-on-demand, “Never Ending Drama” will add 6 pearls to suite your bag with the right boost over your next set.
